"Letters Have a Place" rhyme for 1st graders.

I call the letter Y a sleepy thief. In the begginng of the day (word) he'll make a /y/ sound (like "yawn"). And then when he wakes up a little bit he starts stealing other letters' sounds.

At 3.5 y.o. Avery is learning about the multi-faceted character of the letter "y" ... she asks me daily about it's sound and uses. Love my brilliant girl!

writing a letter about what they learned for the day and practice letter format.. great activities to introduce writing weekly letters to their family about what they did in school that week!
