    The "dirty dozen & clean fifteen". Eating organic produce is very important, but can also get very costly. These lists are an excellent (general) reference to when you should really buy organic, and when it may not be so necessary, especially in a frugal lifestyle. Not to mention, some products don't even require pesticides so a company can hike up the price because yes, it's organic - but it would have been anyway.

Bless This Mess: Eating Clean: 2 week plan. She's made this seem really easy and doable... and all with "normal" food you'd buy at the store! And the 80/20 rule makes perfect sense and is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. Definitely think it's worth a shot :)

I'm gonna print this in color, laminate it and hang it on our fridge to remind my kiddos (and us too).

I would LOVE to eat like this! I would have to start by changing my whole diet to be vegan again.. but It actually makes you feel so much better when you eat the foods that grow in your climate at that time!!!

Hopefully this will help keep fruit and veggies from going bad too early. Smart things here. I have practiced many of these most of my life. I will add Tomatoes. I do not refrigerate them ever. I have a hanging basket in the kitchen for my tomatoes and if I cut it I eat the entire tomato then and there. They act of chilling a whole or cut tomato sucks the flavor away immediately.
