    cupcakes and kale: kale & walnut pesto

    kale & walnut pesto (pictured with gnocchi) makes about 1 cup 1 cup fresh basil leaves, tightly packed 1 cup kale, chopped and tightly packed 1/4 cup raw walnuts 1/4 cup cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil scant 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1/2 a juicy lemon) 1/4-1/2 tsp fine sea salt 1 big clove of garlic 2 tsp nutritional yeast collect all of your ingredients and combine them all in your food processor and blend until smooth. presto, pesto!
