Indian dancer of Sri Devi Nrithyalaya - Chennai (Madras), South India. This Indian dance style of bharatnatyam is one of the classical Indian dances. In this Classical dance form of Indian dance, the jewelery and costumes play an important role. While Kathak does not belong to Carnatic dance, songs and music styles, Mohini Attam does, but steps differ in each style. In these pictures you can see different traditional Indian dance poses. Devadasis, temple dancers, were performing nritta and abhinaya for gods in the temples, as we see from the paintings. They learned "Indian dance" at classical classes the history of mudras (hasthas). You can see famous Indian dancers in these Indian dances. Dances of India have a spiritual basis.
