Little Green Notebook: How to Remove White Heat Marks on Furniture More heat and moisture! Weird, right? I just used two folded over clean white linen napkins and sprayed them down a little with water. You want there to be several layers of cloth between your iron and the table surface. Then I ironed over the napkins on top of the heat marks for about 15 seconds with the iron on a medium heat/steam setting. Don't just set the iron down though - keep it moving.

How to remove heat marks from wood furniture. To remedy heat marks, you apply... more heat and moisture! It was like magic and the heat marks disappeared. **A little disclaimer: this trick worked for me, but I guess a few other readers have not had success. It might be wise for you to try a less conspicuous area on your table first. Be sure you're using damp cloths with your iron on a medium setting with steam. And be sure to keep your iron moving!**

I would never have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes! We used paper plates for Thanksgiving dinner, and they left behind white spots on my table. I used a slightly damp kitchen towel, and my hot tea kettle instead of an iron. The heat and steam ironically take out the stains left by heat and steam in the first place! SCIENCE!!! My table looks brilliant! - Angie

How to get stinky smells out of furniture. First try cleaning the furniture out with an appropriate cleanser. Other options are sprinkling the drawers w/ baking soda, let the furniture air out, line the drawers w/ dryer sheets, pour kitty litter in the drawers & leave for several days, put coffee beans inside the drawers, and place a few jars of white vinegar inside the furniture. There are a couple more as well.
