Homemade granola: Mix together 4 cups rolled oats, 1 cup chopped almonds/pecans, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 t salt, 1 tsp cinnamon. Stir together 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup honey/agave/maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla and pour over oats mixture. Spread in 11x17 pan and bake 30 min @ 300F, stirring once until golden. Remove from oven and add 1 cup raisins or cranberries. Let cool and store in airtight container. Enjoy with milk or yogurt!

Hot Caramelized Onion Dip: 4 bacon strips, 2 sweet onions, halved and thinly sliced, ¼ t sugar, ¼ t sea salt, 1 T dry sherry, ¼ t tabasco, ½ t chopped fresh thyme, 1 C shredded Gruyere Cheese, ½ C sour cream, ½ C mayo, ¼ t freshly, ground black pepper.
