Pinner says - Best home made body wash recipe I've found. (It's suppose to be ideal for Eczema) Update 3/15/12: I just finished making my first batch & I absolutely love it. It smells really great ( I used a lavender essential oil) & after washing my hands with it I quickly noticed how clean, soft & smooth they felt. I can't wait to have Jeremy try it on his eczema prone skin. Homemade Body Wash, Wash Recipes, Lavender Essential Oil, Home Made Essential Oil, Clean, My Sons, Home Made Soaps, Coconut Oil, Bodywash

Take off heat and let sit for about 10 hours until thickens and cools. Can add 3 tsp of essential oils at this point if desired for fragrance. Makes about 3 qts. If adding essential oils, use aromatherapy, candle or food grade oils.
body-wash I halved this recipe to give it a try. I made one batch with Dial soap for kids & one with Irish Spring. I found that the consistency of both batches were like that of egg white or as my daughter called it, snot. lol. It also doesn't lather like commercial body wash. If you're looking for clean & low in cost, then this may be for you. I wasn't thrilled, but may try it with a higher end soap to see if it is any creamier.
Bar Soap to Liquid: I didn't follow the proportions exactly, so mine turned out too thick and had to be thinned. One bar really does make a gallon.
