Mister Magoo - this is a really special memory. My 8th grade teacher (whom was also my favorite teacher of all times) had a brother who was the creator of Mr. Magoo!!! We thought that was so cool!
Quincy Magoo (or simply Mr. Magoo) is a cartoon character created at the UPA animation studio in 1949. Voiced by Jim Backus, Magoo is a wealthy, short-statured retiree who gets into a series of comical situations as a result of his nearsightedness, compounded by his stubborn refusal to admit the problem. Through uncanny streaks of luck, the situation always seems to work itself out for him In 2002, TV Guide ranked Mr. Magoo number 29 on its '50 Greatest Cartoon Characters of All Time' list .

Repetitive phrases in children's books help them learn to read. This traditional tale illustrated by Paul Galdone is delightful. Read-a-loud to your child frequently and he or she will start saying the repetitive phrases by memory along with you! This is learning! This is learning to read with an adult who is willing to take the time to provide a "bedtime story" reading experience!

I loved watching this on tv when I was a kid. Bewitched was an American television series that ran from 1964 to 1972. The premise was that a witch (Samantha Stephens) married an advertising executive (Darrin Stephens), but in order to blend in with “mortals”, Samantha had to keep her supernatural powers secret.

However, neither she nor Darrin could control her wacky relatives -particularly Samantha’s magically meddling mother Endora! In most episodes their cover was nearly blown, but the couple explained away the most ridiculous situations as a “demonstration” of a creative new advertising campaign.

fun fact~ Whitney Blake is Meredith Baxter's mom. Also, she and her husband Allen Manning created the show One Day at a Time, based on her life as a single mom. Loved to Watch Hazel!!
The Hazel TV show was a comedy series about a very successful corporate attourney, his family and their maid named Hazel. When George Baxter arrived home at the end of a hard day at the law office, he had to deal with the head of the household ... definitely his maid Hazel! She ran his home every bit as efficiently as he ran his office. They had many conflicts, but Hazel always turned out to be right and her opion prevailed!
