Old boot planters - should do with old combat boots, after retirement.

old boot planters - Love these! Chicks and hens plants are perfect for these! Got some old beat up cowboy boots at the thrift store and a neighbor has some plants she's dividing. These plants stay green thru all seasons. Look good grown in high heels and colanders too!

Boot planters - things to do with old shoes... I think soak the boot overnight in a liquid fertilizer/water mixture. Fill with peat moss and plant seed traditionally. As for the flowers on the outside, I was thinking water down some modeling clay until it's a paste, mix in your seeds and a little liquid fertilizer, and spread it around. The question is, will it take? Maybe alfalfa or rye grass seed would take well?

Love this old metal spreader as a planter. This would make a good category in the prize books. Unique container gardens!

cork birdhouse, for all of my WINO friends, and I bet there are alot of you!! Who wouldn't want to have these in the garden! I have been saving corks for years, and making holiday wreaths with them, but this is so charming, and doesn't take quite as many!! I might use pennies for the roof, so they can age and turn green. Now, how do I keep the dang squirrels away??
