"The Breakfast Club". I'm not sure what it is with these 1980'es movies and their cult-like status - John Hughes, The Brat Pack and so on. But I do know that it just doesn't cut it for me. I find most of the stories and scenes either bizarre, strange, boring or all of the above. And the way they talk! Did it really sound like that at the time? I feel like these movies have hidden motives and deeper meanings that I'm supposed to find fascinating. But I regret to say that is not the case. ♥ ♥
I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I want to ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just ONCE I want my life to be like an 80's movie. But no... No, John Cusack didn't direct my life."
