Rebuilt in recent summers after a severe 2006 flood, Mount Rainier National Park's Glacier Basin Trail is wide and offers easy hiking to memorable views.
Due to the permanent closure of the Carbon River Road, hikers can now park at the washout and venture to the end of the road. From there, the trail takes hikers a further miles to the toe of the impressive Carbon Glacier.
