Gay adoption has been a large controversial topic of conversation in recent times, and many religions have taken a stance on this issue, either condoning or opposing the idea that a gay couple can adopt and raise a family. This is another example of how a changing society also effects and changes religious institutions, or how religious institutions exert their anti-homosexual values still to this day.
