SIMON & GARFUNKEL: Bookends -- My favorite S album, by far. Truly a landmark watershed album. The material, the recording, the mixing, the musicians and the whole package -- it all just works at a level that few musicians ever attain to. After this, S will self destruct and create Bridge Over Troubled Water, an album they both admit as being two solo projects sewn into one. But they were never better than Bookends. Truly remarkable.
