Kissing Potion I had these... forgot all about them til I saw them on someone else's board!

OMG, who remembers Kissing Potion by Maybelline? I used to have every flavor when I was in jr high school.

wax bottle drinks ...childhood treat We actually went to the local grocery store and bought these for a penny each - thus "Penny Candy" was coined. Sad that today it is almost 2.00 for the same thing at a specialty store. Sickingly sweet liquid in a plastic bottle that you could then chew on after it was empty.

I had one of these as a kid and loved it. Wish I could find a vintage one at a garage sale.

I forgot all about those wax whistles! Awesome. I love when I find stuff like this.

I remember Bob's Big Boy in the San Fernando Valley. There were three we would go to on Wednesday Cruise Night in the mid 60's. Canoga Park Bob's, then cruse Van Nuys Blvd. to Van Nuys Bob's, then back to Balboa Bob's on Balboa Blvd. to hang out on the grass in front until you got a table. Loved their Bob's Big Boy Hamburger, French fries dipped in their Roquefort Dressing and a Coke.
