This will be PERFECT for fourth grade!! I started a lesson similar to this, but the added ideas will make it more fun.

Make these into mangets for the white board. Then write the sequence of events for students to read/process individually. ADD a STOP so that students Stop for check-ins with teacher before proceeding.

Here is a sample of their expository writing.  We did the top together and they had to come up with three facts on their own based on our readings and our notes from the lesson.
