With the parmesan cheese in ti, the leftoers were thick the next day, so we boiled up some pasta and poured the thickened soup over it. It tasted pretty cose to the Lipton Creamy Tomato Pasta Side, with parmesan.

Mini apple pies -- awesome thanksgiving idea!! I will use my own apple pie recipe but I love this idea to have your own personal pie.
Mini apple pies... If you've been around a while you know that I like to make some sort of dessert or treat for my husband to take to work with him on Mondays. Food is my love language. I am not a diet friendly friend. It's just a small way that I feel I can help him with his work day...he and all his coworkers have a super long meeting on Mondays and...well, it's Monday...how can dessert not help that? It gives me a good excuse to try new recipes and now all of his coworkers expect and look forward to what I will make and send in. I've been meaning to document what I have tried here...but it's taken weeks for me to start...so we'll just start here. :) This week I made mini apple pies for him to take...and I made a large batch so that I could keep some too! This recipe makes 24 mini pies but you could easily halve it to make 12. Start by cutting up eight cups of apples into small 1/2in bits. Mix the apples with: 12 tablespoons of flour 1 1/2c of sugar 4 heaping teaspoons of cinnamon 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg (depending on how much you like nutmeg...you could also leave it out) You will also need: 4 tablespoons of chilled butter cut into 24 equal portions. two boxes of pilsbury pie crusts (four chilled NOT frozen crusts) Make sure you stir everything around getting the apples nice and coated. Unroll your first pie crust and cut several circles out. Continue this until you have enough crusts. I found that a wide mouth mason jar ring worked perfectly. Line each cup of your muffin tin with a tiny pie crust. I found that pinching the edge of the dough around the top edge of the tin and making a hammock of sorts worked really well. You can then gently fill the crusts with your apple mixture and push the crusts down the rest of the way. You should be able to fill until slightly mounded. Then take your equally divided butter... and put a dab on each pie. Cover as desired with left over dough. Brush with melted butter and bake at 400 for 18 to 22 minutes. I started checking in on mine at 10 minutes and checked every two until they were perfect. And YUM! They are the perfect size and I am looking forward to having the extras with my coffee in the morning. Yes, for breakfast, there is fruit in there! Enjoy making these! It's the perfect excuse to head out to an apply orchard and pick some fresh apples!

Baked Portobello Parmesan...from the kitchen of One Perfect Bite Ingredients: 1/2 cup Italian-style bread crumbs 1 cup (3-oz.) freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided use 1 teaspoon sweet paprika 1/4 cup fresh minced parsley, divided use 2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided use 3/4 cup egg substitute 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper 1 teaspoon marjoram leaves 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon oregano leaves 4 large (5 to 6-inches wide) stemmed potobello mushrooms, brushed clean 1-1/2 cups (6-oz.) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese 1 cup commercially prepared "light" tomato sauce Cooking spray Directions: 1) Position a baking rack in upper third of oven. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a 17-1/2 x 11-3/4 baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a 16-1/2 x 11-1/2-inch wire cooling rack inside the baking sheet. Mist rack with cooking spray. Cheeseburger soup recipe. Ingredients 1/2 pound ground beef 3/4 cup chopped onion 3/4 cup shredded carrots 3/4 cup diced celery 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes 4 tablespoons butter, divided 3 cups chicken broth 4 cups diced peeled potatoes (1-3/4 pounds) 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups (8 ounces) process cheese (Velveeta) 1-1/2 cups milk 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/4 cup sour cream Directions In a 3-qt. saucepan, brown beef; drain and set aside. In the same saucepan, saute the onion, carrots, celery, basil and parsley in 1 tablespoon butter until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes. Add the broth, potatoes and beef; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt remaining butter. Add flour; cook and stir for 3-5 minutes or until bubbly. Add to soup; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cheese, milk, salt and pepper; cook and stir until cheese melts. Remove from the heat; blend in sour cream. Yield: 8 servings (2-1/4 quarts).

Cream Cheese Cookie Bars. Delishious. I made these for a shower and doubled the recipe and made a recipe of Toll House chocoate chip cookies instead of store bought dough. The toll house cookie recipe makes about 5 cups of cookie dough but its ok bc a 13x9 in pan is a bit smaller than 2 8" pans. I just used 3.5 cups on the bottom and 1.5 on the top and had to cook them a bit longer. Will be making again
Smore's Bake - Line 8x8 glass pan with graham crackers -Use half package of prepackaged chocolate chip cookie dough & press out flat on a piece of wax paper until it matches the size of the baking dish -Lay cookie dough over top of the graham crackers & bake according to cookie package directions -Take out of the oven & immediately break up 2 full size Hershey bars & place over the top -Cover the entire top of the Hershey bars with marshmallows & put back into the oven until golden brown
