copenhagen // black & white

What if? To start the year to introduce how to be self managers when the teacher is working with small groups.

pinner says: My latest ploy-- getting my kids into more non-fiction. I'll post a crazy fact a day, and if they can bring in a fact for me and show me where they read it (any non-fiction resource, print or digital) I'll put it up for the day with their name. I'm hopeful I can hook them!

No more little interruptions to tell me a book is torn or a page is falling out. Great idea.

Try Wall Pop dry erase stickers on a table in your classroom! I use it for spelling work, small group instruction, and math time. They add a pop of color, too!

I like this for showing when you're available or not to be interrupted. When the light is on, you can't interrupt. When it's off, you can come talk!

Ask Me tag--one student serves as the "Ask Me" person while the teacher is working with a small group. All students will go to this person instead of interrupting the teacher, which wastes precious small group instruction time.
