"Moonmelon (scientifically knows as asidus). This fruit grows in some parts of Japan and is known for its vibrant blue colour. This fruit's party trick is that it can switch flavours after you eat it. Everything sour will taste sweet, everything salty will taste bitter, and it gives water a strong orange-like taste! Say WHAT?" <-- While this is a fake, the very real Miracle Fruit actually does make sour things taste sweet.

A handy roundup of "86 Viral Images From 2014 That Were Totally Fake" -- including a few real photos with bad captions. Nicely done, and, by the way, NONE of those "super-moons" were real. Also reminds you to follow my role model and yours, Horse Spells 'Horse' Still want to get me Photoshop? ;-) hehe It is so cool how they do this stuff. I wonder if I could even figure out how to work it! lol @Lauren Davis

DIY Glow In The Dark Planters. - followed the link and the blogger admits that the photo is photoshopped (likely just a high end LED planter) but she explores other options.

This is the world's largest living Organism, it's roots cover 800 hectares. It is edible but does not taste very good.

Pretty sure this isn't legit. Thoughts? From original pinner: "Fairies in a Jar- glow sticks cut open with glitter inside a mason jar and shaken. So beautiful on the patio in the Summer! Makes a great night light, too! #Sacpinparty #SummerFun"

Add 1 tsp. of liquid food coloring to 1 cup of water. Drizzle the colored water onto the soil surrounding the base of a plant. Wait 24 hours for the water to absorb. Apply another identical dose if the color change was not sufficient.

Nope! Stock pic of tempura-style fried zucchini, not baked. Baked will not look like this. Baked zucchini chips should be made at temps around 250F, & for abt 45min | "Baked zucchini chips w/ paprika & sea salt. Dietitian...recommends using paprika not only to flavor this healthy snack, but also to boost metabolism, reduce appetite, & lower blood pressure. Cut zucchini into thin slices & toss in 1Tbsp olive oil, sea salt, & pepper. Sprinkle w/ paprika & bake at 450°F for 25-30min."

glow stones.....glow at night after soaking up the sun all day!

Cooper Canyon. Chihuahua, Mexico (walkway photoshopped?)

Okay, real or unreal? (It's actually a hotel in Africa!)

Break a glow stick and put in clear nail polish.. nope.

JUST BE UPFRONT ABOUT IT, OK? 13 Pinterest-Famous Celebrity "Quotes" That Are Totally Fake

This photo appears in numerous "amazing abandoned places" articles around the web, usually captioned "Cincinnati's abandoned subway depot". It is actually a photoshopped image of a tram depot in Czestochowa, Poland, which is neither abandoned nor overgrown with greenery.

NOT SUSAN B ANTHONY -- See the clothes? It’s London, 1910, outside Parliament, where police beat protesters. SEE COMMENTS -- The Daily Mail said this woman is Ada Wright. and s lesson plan from UK National Archives says Ernestine Mills. [Clearly NOT Mrs. Pankhurst] There weren't just a few famous suffragists - there were thousands. [Link goes to Edith Garrud, first female martial artist in the Western world, who trained in ju jitsu & led a 30-woman bodyguard to protect protestors from police.]

TAKE THE PLEDGE, KIDS! When you see "news" that's a little too startling, check debunkers like, or just ask your Grandmother Google where it's originating. When you see an unlikely image, use the wonderful little tool button you can get at to instantly jump to a google image search of what you're looking at. [BTW, anybody know who did this remix? It's a great re-use of a WWII US home-front poster.]

"If a thief forces you to take money from an ATM, do not argue or resist. What you should do is punch your pin in reverse. EX: if your pin is 1234 you punch 4321. The moment you punch in the reverse, the money will come out but will be stuck in the machine and the machine will immediately alert the police without the theif's knowledge. Every ATM has this feature. Can't believe I never knew this!!" Worst hoax ever.

"Miracle fruit" Really? 10,000 times stronger killer?

Walter Reeves debunks the myth that club soda kills fire ants.

"Easy Ant killer - Simply pour 2 cups of CLUB SODA directly in the center of a fire ant mound. The carbon dioxide in the water is heavier than air and displaces oxygen which suffocates the queen and the other ants. The whole colony will be dead within about two days. Each mound must be treated individually and a one liter bottle of club soda will kill 2 to 3 mounds" Club soda does not kill fire ants!

This looks photoshopped to me. What do you think?

I hate to disappoint, but this is another hoax: "EVERY Target shopper NEEDS to know this: If the price ends in 8, it will be marked down again. If it ends in a 4, its the lowest it will be. Targets mark down schedule. - MONDAY: Kids Clothing, Stationery (office supplies, gift wrap), Electronics. TUESDAY: Womens Clothing and Domestics. WEDNESDAY: Mens Clothing, Toys, Health and Beauty. THURSDAY: Lingerie, Shoes, Housewares. FRIDAY: cosmetics. This is maybe the best pin EVER" Thanks Ann Orsini!

Thank you I.P. WaterWorkS "Fake - Rock Formations - The first two are labelled as contest entries, at, and the third is a photoshop of a real formation."

Confirmed as true by I.P. WaterWorkS . "Madhuri, an Indian elephant, swings a monitor lizard around by its tail. The unlucky creature had been swept off the ground and was carried around for a number of days by the elephant. With its tail firmly clamped in the animal’s trunk the lizard was swung around and occasionally put back on the ground. The scene was captured by Jagdeep Rajput during a trip to Corbett National Park in India"

"Natural rock formations - Elephants" - Oh, come on.
