America Heroes Project | Social Studies Project | Black History Month Project

This is a fun, standards-based project to give your students after teaching a lesson or unit on American Heroes, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, etc. It is a Social Studies project that integrates Language Arts Common Core Standards. This is a great activity to work on reading comprehension and writing skills. Students use a nonfiction-text to answer questions and then they write a final draft on their chosen American hero. Great for writers workshop & readers workshop.
