      Use a piece of rebar (available at Lowes or Home Depot for less than ten bucks), stack some terra cotta pots, plant && watch it grow.

      Stack of Flower Pots: Use a piece of rebar from your home and garden store and hammer it into the ground. Get several clay pots, the kind with the hole in the center of the bottom. Start at ground level with the biggest pot. Tilt it until the side touches the stake. Repeat tilting opposite way every other pot. Fill pots with soil and your favorite plants!

    Disney world does this! Lowes sells the 4 to 6" round PVC pipe with holes already drilled. Purchase an end cap, fill with rock, soil, and plant. You can put these in the center of a very large pot to stabilize, and add amazing height and color to a container that has trailing plants (no end cap or rock needed if you are placing in a container)
