Hunting Trophies: Repurposed Vintage Bike Parts Converted into Functional Taxidermy Racks by Andreas Scheiger

Upcycle Fetish by Andreas Scheiger, via Behance: 'Pablo Picasso saw it first and created his "cabeza de toro". I needed a bicycle hanger. And then I needed a hanger for bicycle caps and while I was on it, something to hang my umbrella unto. And when left bare I see a tribute to my fetish, the bicycle.'
upcycle fetish, Andreas Scheiger. Old bike parts in hunting trophy style.
Vienna-based designer Andreas Scheiger created this fun series of faux taxidermy heads using a bunch of found bicycle seats and handlebars. The pieces can serve as fun art objects, or as functional hooks for holding bags, coats, and even other bicycles.

Capitol Hill Loft - Seattle | The 1,702-sq-ft needed an remodel in order for it to fit to the needs of the owners. It is owned by a young couple who work nearby the building and found out that the original layout did not harmonize with their everyday living patterns as it has an exposed entry way, lack of storage and oversized hallway. Because of that, they wanted to have an interior renovation of the house so that it will be suitable to their needs.(addit'l pics → "ID: Multiple Pins.." board)

5. Two-storey side extension. The owners of this mid-century London house had an awkward wedge-shaped space at the side, so they have filled it with a two-storey extension, providing more bedrooms, a larger open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, and a wider circulation space with nooks for the kids to play. By opening the house up, they have also created more views between the different spaces, so the parents can keep an eye on the kids from various vantage points.
You will notice that the chairs in the foreground are placed so that you appreciate their sculptural form and so the view into the room is maintained. The upholstered chairs sit at the back, since they are larger and take up more pace. For upholstered chairs allow about 91 to 102 cm of width and 102 to 112 cm of depth. One could easily move around the classic bent-plywood Eames chairs here, which are trim at 56 cm wide and 61 cm deep.

For Paul and Shoko Shozi, a pair of retiring Angelenos, the goal was to shut out the neighborhood but bring in the sunny skies. Their new prefab home, the Tatami House, designed by Swiss architect Roger Kurath of Design*21, makes a central courtyard the physical, and maybe even the spiritual, center of the home.
