I need to make time for my kids more instead of constantly thinking the house has to be in perfect order.
INDEED they do! So glad I take the time to put playing, reading, singing, giggling, and loving my children over cleaning the house! I'd rather stay up all night and clean than give up time with my kids!

I remember this hanging in my house when I was a kid. So true.
So true and I really do hope my kids remember all the play time we shared together...cause in 20 years I will probably still be cleaning up my messy house from playing to much and not cleaning LOL :-p
Memory jar to fill throughout the year then read together on new years eve!

Bucket list EVERY YEAR! A memory jar! write down fav moments throughout the year to place in the jar and read them all on new years
Memory Jar 2012. Found by a pinner at http://steamykitchen.com/ -- my girls and i did something similar in the early 90s, and believe it or not, i still have some of the "gratitude slips" kept. Great idea (but the jar needs to be muuuuch larger i think!) Read them together as a family on New Year's eve or day, then maybe paste them onto scrapbook paper for a quickie 'look back' album?
2014 memory jar #lifehacks. kinda cheesy though...
DIY Memory Jar: Jot down fun memories throughout the year and then on New Years Eve reflect on what a great year it has been!

Memory jar! We keep this jar on the kitchen counter with paper and a marker. Every few days, one of us will jot down something that made our family laugh or smile. On New Year’s Eve, we empty out the jar, read them one by one. Next year, a new jar to begin again and the best part is we can bring out past jars anytime to remember the little things that shaped our lives. The best is when one of us secretly writes memory and quietly slips it into the jar.
