    In memory of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown, CT, shootings. Sending thoughts and prayers to the families, friends, classmates and neighbors of the victims of this horrendous act of violence. And prayers and hopes that we can some day soon find a way to limit access to these deadly, unnecessary weapons that cause this kind of horror.

    After leading her students into a closet, placing her body between them and the gunman, "She was found huddled over her children," her cousin Jim Wiltsie told ABC News. Her sister Carlee Soto added: "She loved those students more than anything, and she didn't call them her students, she called them her kids."

    School psychologist Mary Sherlach, 56, was killed during an attempt to stop gunman Adam Lanza during the Dec. 14 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Sherlach and school principal Dawn Hochsprung reportedly both lunged at Lanza in an attempt to protect the school's students and teachers. Both Sherlach and Hochsprung were killed. It has been said that she felt she was doing "God's work." Truly, she did that day.

    Victoria Soto, a 27-year-old teacher, was killed in the Dec. 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It has been said that she was hiding "her children" and was a shield between them and the gunman. It was said that the gunman wanted to kill more but she hid them safely in a closets and cabinets. She told the shooter the kids were in the gym. He shot her and left the room. An angel for sure.
