In his 1,500-square-foot, eighth-arrondissement space, a young architect revisits ideas Le Corbusier explored in a now-defunct 1930s Champs-Élysées penthouse and rooftop terrace. The duplex space on the sixth and seventh floors comprised a dozen maids’ rooms. The redesign demolished the sagging seventh floor and interior plaster and oak-frame walls to allow for larger, taller rooms. Using steel framing, he added a clear glass floor above a living-dining area to bring daylight to both levels.

Apartment Place de la Madeleine in Paris

Is this even outdoor? Isn't that a kitchen that overlooks this "courtyard"?

Now *that* might be a good idea for the stairs. Translucent glass that lets through the light but still looks amazing when contrasted with the wood color we'd be getting.

pallet wall - I cant see that in my house - BUT for sure i could see this in the garage -- could be functional for hanging items

Eclectic styling with great rug for the base. Interesting artwork and simple color palette for the main furniture pieces.
