Shortly before the Normandy invasion Winston Churchill tests his hand with the Thompson sub-machine gun in .45 caliber. The "Tommy Gun" was by then the standard light automatic weapon of the US Army and in extensive use by the British and Canadian armies. In the background General Eisenhower also takes aim with the same gun.
