Now, many a cheesecake connoisseur will say, “but that’s not a true cheesecake!” Blah, blah, blah. The bottom line is this: there are only 5 ingredients, it’s SUPER easy, and because it’s not so dang heavy, you can take your time eating it without getting sick of it. Seriously, just try this fantastic dessert.
creme brulee cheesecake; a ny cheesecake recipe with a crust made with vanilla wafer and then topped it with a layer of sugar, which I torched/broiled to give it that "creme brulee" effect. The end result turned up better than I ever could have imagined; the cheesecake itself was perfectly creamy and I was amazed to find it did not crack one bit while baking; will be my go-to "plain" or base cheesecake flavor; loved the flavor of the vanilla wafer crust and the burnt sugar topping
