DIY beautiful cardboard lamp...this is soooo sweet...not great instructions, but hopefully you get the general idea....I think I would cover the "agons" with tinfoil or gold wrapping paper (or both..or even some other  coloured foil wrap) but isn't this sweet!1

Not quite sure what the exact process for creating these super-cool fixtures is. But A Bit of Bees Keens says, "You just have to spray paint a doily onto a light bulb or use a silver pen and draw your own designs. When the light shines through, it will cast a beautiful pattern on your walls." Anyone care to give it a try and share your results?
