The writing process, the 6 trait way... I like this, however... I would not put them in a sequential order. Most published authors will tell you that everyone's writing process is different. We may go through some of these steps, not necessarily all of them every time we write. To be authentic, mixing them around is a much better idea!

This website has a nice anchor chart that allows students to show what they are thinking throughout the reading. The students are giving sticky notes to post areas they may have found funny, important, surprising, their favorite, confusing, or a predicting area.
Great idea to teach students how to use post it notes while they are reading and to guide their responses. To use during close reading
