"Kate Jackson (1976-79), Farrah Fawcett (1976-77) & Jaclyn Smith (1976-81) in Charlie's Angels (1976-81, ABC)." As a sad half-black curly-headed child in the 70s, I spent many hours staring at this picture, longing for such 'perfection.'
The Original Charlies' Angels: Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, and Kate Jackson. Love them!
Charlie's Angels. When I was little, i used to watch this show all the time and wish I could be any one of them. It was the first time I got a taste of what it meant to be an empowered woman and I loved it! I also love the newer Charlie's Angels movies. Noting like three chicks kicking some serious butt.

We didn't sell Cracker Jacks at Leopard's Grocery...but our store was the local stop for the old Rolling Store (also operated by one of my relatives--my daddy's uncle)..and the Rolling Store did sell them. And that is what I always wanted. Cracker Jacks had some neat prizes inside the boxes back in the day.

The CRACKER JACK® brand is immortalized with the third line of the 1908 song "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", "Buy me some peanuts and CRACKER JACK®." "A Prize in Every Box" is introduced in 1912 when toys are inserted into every package. In 1918, SAILOR JACK™ and his dog, BINGO™, first appear on packages. SAILOR JACK™ was modeled after F.W. bUddy Holly was a huge rock and roll star when he boarded a plane in an Iowa snowstorm in 1959. It's his death -- along with Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson (aka the Big Bopper) -- that's referred to as the day the music died. All that talent. He was 22, Valens was 17 and Bopper was the old man at 28.

10 Rock Stars Who Died Too Young For The 27 Club // For those that know me I am like obsessed with the 27 Club, yet this just opened up my eyes. A lot of my faves were too young to enter the 27 club, including one of my all time faves and inspirations Buddy Holly. :'(
Ritchie Valens (born Richard Steven Valenzuela; May 13,1941-February 3, 1959) was a singer, songwriter and guitarist. A rock and roll/ Rockabilly pioneer and a forefather of the Chicano rock movement, Valens' recording career lasted only eight months. On February 3,1959, on what has become known as "The Day the Music Died", Valens died in a small-plane crash in Iowa, a tragedy that also claimed the lives of fellow musicians Buddy Holly and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson.

Arm loads of books and that long walk home from school before book back-packs came in .Sometimes a boy would carry a girl's books!.
Girls usually didn't have back-packs in the '50s and '60s. We carried our school books in our arms unless we were lucky enough to have a boy offer to carry our books for us. That was a first step toward romance!
