      Comparison is the thief of joy. ~Theodore Roosevelt I've never read this quote before but been irked by the observation of its truth many times. Cheers to appreciating what one has to offer without needing to make it about what someone else happens to have in a similar vein.

      so true, my partner has always said never to compare and I've tried not to do, since I thought he was (and is) right! In our case comparison the other way around, I found I had/have no reason to complain, no matter how bad things got, because there's always (much) worse, but shouldn't matter, can still be/is unfair, difficult, sad or whatever & okay to admit it's painful to loose something important (something I told others often... living & learning!)
