Great character map. I'm using a similar one I made with my students for the characters of Othello. I'm going to have them do 1 character of their choice for homework, then the next day I'll have the main character chart on poster board. They'll do carousel walking/groups and collectively add information to each large chart.

Character Traits graphic organizer...may fit the 2nd grade standard better, but good to challenge students in higher reading groups.

Character Map ~ You can copy the Character Traits on the back and have them highlight the traits that describe the character. Then, they write them on the front of the page in the Character Traits section. They draw an illustration of the character in the middle of the page. I love it because I can use it during stations for the story of the week, whole group, or they can even complete it independently.
