Love this page from April at Studio Calico. Great technique for creating a pattern using punched circles + mist over cardstock.

I would use these flowers on the top of a pen and use it in a centerpiece...

With a little creativity you can make a flower from just about anything!

pin flowers or glue to any flat surface/canvas block... add wording, name, quote, etc.

1. Cut out 10 scalloped circles from a book (or a newspaper, scrapbook paper, magazine...) 2. Gather all the circles and use a 1/16" punch to make a hole in the center. 3. Attach a brad (the color doesn't matter because you won't be seeing it in the end result) 4. Layer by layer, scrunch up each circle 5. Now just fluff out the flower and voila!

Maps turned flower. This pin is made from vintage paper which has first been covered in clear vinyl. The Posie petals are cut and shaped by hand and machine stitched. The stitching gives the paper and vinyl a nice texture and also makes it very durable. A vintage button centers the layers of petals and leaf.

Love the modern details on these - outlining leaves with twine or floss and beading on flower tips
