Cozy window nook-great for reading! I've seen the pins with closet reading nooks, which are great, but I just love reading in natural light. Maybe it's because it helps me stay awake :) but also it just puts me in a good mood.

Re-purposing a crib mattress. Well, I have the mattress, which is unfortunately the least expensive part of this project. Those baskets and shelves are a small fortune for a quick look. But wait, how long are those 1x5 compared to those in the photo?

Now I love this..I would do this in the bay window at Belle Monte, and let the shelves be display (over the glass windows) or hold plants, etc instead of books. Beautiful.

We found Devin's old crib spring in their barn this weekend! Looks like we have a new Dutton Family Headquarters in our entry way!

The tree is cheap, brown tissue paper glued to the wall using Elmer's school glue. The shelves are melamine from Ikea sprayedbrown using Krylon plastic paint. The leaves are cut from a Junie B. Jones book. The cocoon is from Ikea as well.
