Adapted this for DH who is a middle school science teacher using 9 of the 10 tips for writing science papers by Grace Fleming at: (I used "include diagrams"instead of "use passive voice"). I used a large poster board, titled it Writing Like a scientist, added cute science clips and examples of science writing and diagrams and the 10 writing tips. I laminated with thick laminate at our local UPS store for $10...much better than the laminating machine school. My DH loves it

Asking Questions Chart! I love this brightly colored anchor chart. Great idea to have a board already made. You could put it in the library center with sticky notes and have students do the activity on their own after you have done it as a class.

questioning strategy: This would be a neat display to have in the classroom to encourage students to ask questions about things they are curious about. This would be really helpful in a science classroom with any science lesson. Asking lots of questions helps students clarify their thoughts.

This is an anchor chart created with a middle school class. It works well for any grade, but particularly fifth grade through high school. Often multiple other standards depend on the assumption that students in these grades recognize claims and can move on to evaluate the validity and strength of the multiple claims.
