I love making my own homemade laundry powder. It is less expensive and works just as great as store-brands. Plus the homemade version doesn't make my skin itch. This is a blog post I did about homemade laundry powder awhile ago. It's easy to make and another "easy on the wallet" type of project ;)
Oh how I despise paying 15 bucks for one bottle of brand name laundry soap at the store!!! Not to mention lugging it home and throwing away all those plastic bottles! I may just have to try this.
Uses of castile soap: body wash, shaving lubricant, hand soap, homemade baby wipes, multipurpose cleaner, soft scrub, washing laundry and dishes, etc. Just don't mix it with vinegar - they cancel each other out!
