If you are a Middle School Language Arts teacher this book is an old book but has some of the greatest, creative ideas for writing, along with super spelling, vocabulary and other activities written in engaging ways. I see Amazon has some of these that can be ordered. I used this forever and it still has some of the best ideas for writing. It also has quotes that are great for daily journaling or writing starter activities.

Each year, I have my middle school students make a Welcome to Middle School book for the upcoming middle school students. This writing activity is designed to introduce those new students to middle school through the eyes of kids their age. Your students will write a letter, poems, lists for surviving middle school, and other helpful tips. The students who make the book love doing it, and the students who receive the book feel important and love reading about the next grade. $
