Originally released on Tico in 1962, Vaya Puente showcases ‘’The King’’ at his best and features a variety of musical styles. Recorded at the Hotel Riverside Plaza ballroom, as were many of the Roulette releases, the album is drenched in hot Cuban rhythms in a variety of tempos.
