I got this after reading Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs. This is a very well-written story of a brilliant, but complex man. If you want to see politics (personal and professional) in the most intense form, this is the book.

Neverwhere : a novel - By Neil Gaiman. After he helps a stranger on a London sidewalk, Richard Mayhew discovers an alternate city beneath London, and must fight to survive if he is to return to the London he knew.
November BnB discussion. Overall positive response. Had a few people admit they haven't read this type of book before, namely Urban Fantasy, which was gratifying. Gaiman's books are almost always discuss-able. That may be my bias speaking, though ;-) Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman

This is more than a memoir. Ted goes deeper than any other author that I've read, with regards to his questions. He narrates what Merle says to him in a way that only the bond had between a dog that chooses who he follows and the person chosen would share. Merle's Door - Lessons from a Freethinking Dog by Ted Kerasote
Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog by Ted Kerasote - Merle and Ted found each other in the Utah desert— Merle was living wild and Ted was looking for a pup to keep him company. As their bond grew, Ted taught Merle how to live around wildlife, and Merle taught Ted about the benefits of letting a dog make his own decisions. The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell- an examination of the Puritans, their covenant communities, their deep-rooted idealism, their political and cultural relevance in today's world, and their myriad oddities. In The Wordy Shipmates, Sarah Vowell travels once again through America's past, this time to seventeenth-century New England. Recommended by Dr. Mullgardt.
Sarah Vowell explores American history particularly as it pertains to the Puritan's journey to America and strife with Native Americans and other Puritans. A study in humor and sarcasm as it relate to history.
$12.80 The Wordy Shipmates. I love history, but I can’t stand the droll academic books that don’t read like a story. I think history IS a story, and I want it told to me that way. Sarah Vowell does a great job of being informative and concise while still being an entertaining storyteller. This book follows the puritans as they move from being Englishmen to Americans. Wonderful early colonial history.
