Cells Poem

On the first day, give kids 4 poems in 4 languages. Have them pick ONE to "translate" just using what the words sound like. They have to create meaning and make the poem make sense. Obviously they don't know what it's actually saying. Then, have one student read the poem and then their version. Give the students the English translation. Good exercise in creating meaning, and it was fun!
