Beverly Cleary - one of my favorite childhood authors. I also enjoyed her two memoirs, "A Girl from Yamhill," and "My Own Two Feet."

"Ribsy" was probably my favorite book that Mom would read to my little sister and I to help us fall asleep. The sound of her voice would suck me right into the book, and I felt as if I was there. We would get ready for bed early sometimes, just so we could have more time to read. I loved story time with Mom!
