Seal a plastic bag with the top of a water bottle or any plastic bottle and the lid. I tried this but the water bottle cap was too small. I'm going to try it again with a 2liter bottle cap

Seal a plastic bag with the top of a water bottle or any plastic bottle and the lid. Great idea but I'm wondering...in whose house does an open back of chocolate chips last long enough to need sealing?

Laminated old book pages as placemats ... genius! Great idea for everyday or for a birthday party!
Lots of great ideas. One of many: Laminate story book pages for place mats.
I feel like it would be sacrilege to take a book apart to make placemats, but it could be cute for a story book shower. "Use pages of a kids book (from thrift store) to make a place mat. This would also be cute for a party."
Super cute idea to use children's book pages as a placemat!

Lots of homemade ideas for kid stuff... Playdough maybe?
Homemade bath crayons? Here's just 1 of the hundreds of great ideas on this family website "A Magical Childhood" It’s Bathtub Soap Crayons! We think bathtub time just got a whole lot more fun with this Bathtub Crayon craft recipe for kids. And, we bet kids will agree! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s make Bathtub Soap Crayons! Craft supplies you will need: Clear glycerin soap base cut into cubes 3 or more soap color dyes (or food color dyes) Essential oils in your favorite smells (optional) Glass measuring cup for melting soap Spoons for mixing colors and fragrances Ice cube trays or round crayon molds Craft instructions: Separate the soap base cubes; one pile for each soap color dye. Have the children place the soap cube for the first color in a glass measuring cup and melt in microwave in short bursts. Once melted, have the children add soap color a drop at a time, mixing well after each drop until you get the color right. Then, add a couple of drops of essential oils and mix well. Next, have the children carefully pour the color soap into ice cube trays. If you see any air bubbles on the surface of the soap, spray it with rubbing alcohol. Have the children repeat the same soap crayon making process with the rest of the colors. After that, allow the soap to set until it is firm. This could take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours. When the soap is close to firm, feel free to place the soap in the freezer to speed up the hardening process.

Toddler Activity Board - Fine motor skills
Homemade busy board- fine motor skill developmentAn activityboard for L that did not get ready for Christmas, but now it is! A lot of buttons, bolts, screws and other fun parts. Good training of fine motor skills. The board is 20 mm cheap plywood, and the fittings are found in the stash, or bought at the hardware store, the onoff switches came from a electronic store. Everything is screwed or glued on. The small hatches contains a mirror and a chalkboard. The blocks comes from an old game, and are fixed with velcro so that they are movable. Thanks to the dad who has routed and screwed on request.
Homemade busy board for fine motor skill development - this is heaven for a curious kid! Would also be a great activity board for a person with dementia.
