DIY jewelry cleaner that supposedly cleans tarnished silver
Homemade (no scrub) Jewelry Cleaner----- Ingredients for homemade jewelry cleaner: flat pan covered in foil with the shiny side up (I used a 9×9 baking pan) boiling water: 1 cup vinegar: 1/2 cup baking soda: 1 tablespoon salt: 1 tablespoon----- Read Before You Start!: Gather your ingredients and line your pan with a sheet of foil (shiny side up). Lay out your dirty jewelry and have each part of the jewelry touch the foil. Not sure why this is important, but apparently it is. (Note: I cleaned my silver and 14k white gold without any problems. I don’t recommend using this cleaner on precious gems, stones, and/or pearls. Not sure what the reaction would be.) Instructions: Mix 1 cup of boiling water, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of baking soda together. Then slowly pour the mixture into the foil lined pan. Use a spoon if necessary to stir and reposition the jewelry. Now comes the fun part! Slowly add the 1/2 cup of vinegar and watch it do its magic! Bubbles galore cleaning every crevice. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. If necessary, use a spoon to stir the salt and baking soda, and to evenly distribute the jewelry. Rinse in water and dry. Enjoy your shiny jewelry!~

??? Really ??? Punch a hole in the top of a bottle of vinegar and sit the bottle in your toilet tank. In doing this you will save water, as the tank wont fill as much, the vinegar will clean your toilet AND tank on each flush, it leaves the bathroom smelling fresh and it doesn't harm any component of your toilet OR the environment when flushed. And won't hurt the dogs when they drink out of the toilet like the blue stuff does.
