    xylitol...KILLS. In dogs, its drops their blood sugar to dangerously low levels which causes the brain to swell, seizures,coma and death. Additionally,renal failure. This happens quickly, within an hour, so emergency treatment is key to your dogs survival. Keep this sweetener and any candy or gum with this sweetener away from dogs. Or even better, just don't buy it.
