ANCHOR CHART - Two great poster ideas. For this writing goals one, students likely start out on the same goal, but then get moved around as they have something else to focus on when they write, obviously building up on using all of these in their writing. The second is a star rating system showing levels of work quality from 1-4. This takes into account their picture and writing quality.

Writing Goals chart. I can see using something like this on a daily basis. Perhaps clothes pins with student's names clipped directly to the chart would save space. This could be adapted for 2nd and 3rd grade. ~Zeek's Zoo~: Writing Posters

I like the idea of a Writing Goals chart for Writer's Workshop. Students can revise their writing using this chart as a guide. Also allows the teacher to keep track of what stage each student is at in their writing. I would need to align with fifth grade standards

Writing #2: Writing Goals--Used during writing workshop, each student sets their own goals and hangs their post note with name on the goals they will accomplish during the workshop.

Love this! Seems a bit young, but I think it is good for some upper grades. Even has student copy in google doc.

"I bought 10 cent yellow lense free glasses and have the first graders wear them as I read the mini posters. They go to writer's work shop wearing the glasses...I tell them the glasses are magic and will help them write better...they love to play and imagine being great authors...Thanks to the creator of Sailing Through First Grade...She is amazing!"

Beginning Writing Workshop-I would use this with the title of 'Illustrating' for older students who aren't as confident with their drawings.

The writing rubric would be an excellent idea to have hanging in the classroom for the students to reference to while doing in class writing activities. The standards that would correspond with this pin would be any writing standard within the third grade level. For example 3.W.1: Writing: Text types and purposes. Writing opinion pieces on topics or texts
