    I zoomed in on this picture - this looks like wire, run through eye hooks at the junctions, with already mature vines growing up the wires.

    Clematis are lovely bright colored climbing flowers that will light up any garden. They are “friendly” plants that grow well with others and grow upwards of 9-12 feet.
