Another twist on Cinderella but really such a wonderful story that you won't mind! This story takes place slightly before the Mexican revolution in Mexico and then moves to Depression era California where the main character picks fruit and vegetables for a living. Her struggles and character as well as the interesting setting will keep the pages turning. This is an excellent book.
