Royalty Purple Pod. Bred at the University of New Hampshire by the late Professor Elwyn Meader. Introduced by the Billy Hepler Seed Company in 1957. Distinctive purple foliage and purple flowers. Bright purple, stringless, slightly curved 5" pods turn green when cooked. Germinates well even in cold wet soil. Bush habit, snap, 55 days.
