Old Park Service cabin in the Cut Bank Valley of Glacier National Park in Montana

Old Park Service cabin in the Cut Bank Valley of Glacier National Park in Montana. Most of the old cabins in the wilderness areas of Montana can be rented for pennies a day! Rent is cheap because you have to hike to all of them! :)

Old Ranger Station at Alta, Montana. The "soddy" type log structure was common housing for settlers, and later adapted by Forest Service. You can rent these cabins for less than $15.00 per night all over Montana. Many are remote and require you hike, float via a river, or take horses back into the wilderness area they are located. Some amazing scenery along the way with lots of wildlife! By amazing photographer: ©Mark Mesenko

Thanks to @Brenda Jurgens for telling me about the cabins on the Magruder Corridor. Alan and I are going to make this part of our summer #boomer #travel adventure in Montana
