I'm recently back from Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans. One of the products that sparked my liquid driven inspiration is called a Shrub. What is a Shrub you might ask? Well, a Shrub is a combination of sweet and savory flavors.
Muffin Tin as Large Ice Cube Tray The cold, hard truth: Small ice cubes melt fast, leaving a pitcher of lemonade watery. To make long-lasting jumbo cubes, use a muffin tin. Pop them out by running the back of the tin under hot water for 30 seconds.
Four Seasons London at Canary Wharf Strawberry Hot n Cold is sure to be a winner! Add strawberry ice cubes into a shaker with 25 ml Grey Goose Vodka and 50 ml Bacardi. Shake well before pouring into a martini glass. Top with a Hot Lemon Foam (300ml of sugar syrup, 300ml water and 300ml fresh lemon juice mixed with two jelly leaves and then poured into a siphon to dispense the foam).
