Chocolate Salami: I’ve encountered quite a few versions of chocolate salame in Italy – coming to the conclusion that it’s really an Italian version of our chocolate refrigerator cake – and although I am not normally a huge fan of the culinary pun, this does seem the right time of year for such whimsical enterprises.
Homemade no-bake breakfast no-powder protein bars - I have tried this recipe and they are lovely! I got 22 bars rather than 16 as recipe suggests. 10g protein per bar. Would be amazing with dark chocolate on ha ha.
Nigella Lawson's Christmas Rocky Road swaps Rich Tea biscuits for amaretti ones and sees Brazil nuts and glacé cherries (as red as Rudolph’s nose), along with snowy mini marshmallows, being added to the mix.
Nigella's coffee and walnut layer cake. Rose like a dream and stayed moist for days. I actually used the cake recipe to make about a dozen cappuccino cupcakes- just topped them with white chocolate frosting (lovely recipe pinned on my board) and sprinkled them with dark drinking chocolate. Heaven!
CHOCOLATE PISTACHIO FUDGE I am willing to believe that a confectioner wouldn't call this proper fudge, but it tastes divine, and you won't need a sugar thermometer or have to test for frightening soft or hard ball stages. I like this best when it's made slightly less express, but with no greater effort, by stashing it in the deep freeze. It goes really grainy and fudgy this way.
